First off let me say I think the original pads that come with Sr60’s feel fine. A little sore after 4 or 5 hours of use. The L-CUSH just don’t feel right. I actually miss the padding over the entire speaker. Now my ears feel like they are molded into a tube if that makes sense. My ears are bending and it does not feel right. I do like how they are thicker but for the most part I wont be using these.
I don’t have a big head or ears either…at least I hope not!
Was hoping for something a lot better.

After a little over three years with my SR-60s, the stock foam pads were worn thin. They were quite uncomfortable and were becoming increasingly ugly as the pads faded from black to a sort of putrid green. They needed replacing, and they needed it bad.
So I put down some cash for these, after hearing how great they make everything sound, how much more comfortable they are than the stock pads, and so forth.
I haven’t experienced any of those things. First, they are terribly uncomfortable. My ears are now constantly being pressed against the mesh/plastic inside of the headphones. Very uncomfortable, almost painful in a way. But I could deal with that if the sound was great. It isn’t. It’s terrible, in fact. I seem to have lost almost all bass response. I now have very flat, tinny headphones with a pretty harsh high-end.
I cannot recommend these to anyone; I don’t know what could cause someone to think that these were a good investment. The only thing, aside from these being terrible, is that I have defective ears. An egregious waste of twenty-one dollars.

I’ve been wearing my SR-60s almost every day for the last 4 years. For more than a year the old pads were looking real bad. When I started wearing glasses, I started noticing they hurt my ears earlier and earlier in the workday. I was constantly having to shift my cans and my glasses. I was actually thinking about replacing the cans themselves. I didn’t think just replacing the pads would clear it up because of the design of the original pads.
Then I found out you could put these L-Cush pads on the SR-60s. I thought, what the hell, twenty bucks beats a hundred any day.
As soon as I put these on, I couldn’t believe how comfortable they were. I have small ears, so these basically sit around my ears on the top and a little on my ears on the bottom of the lobe. The cans feel lighter and put less stress on my lobes.
I’ve seen some complaints about the sound. I don’t know about others experiences, but it sounded to me like the bass was a bit more responsive…but not so much that I would rave about a performance increase. Let’s just say I found no loss in sound quality and if anything a slight increase.
All in all, if you have a set of SR-60s…treat yourself to the upgrade in pads. Your lobes will thank you.

I long quit listening with my SR-60s because of the pad discomfort. Now they are so old the pads were turning brown anyway, so I looked into replacements. With a little bending up of the head-piece, these L-CUSH’s fit great, and I can listen to excellent sound without being tortured by the way they feel on my head. The price seemed a little excessive, but after all this time it is like getting a new pair of Grado’s for $25. Really not a bad deal, and I couldn’t find any other way to rescue these headphones.
