The color changes make it a snap to tune and I prefer to use the "clip" function, rather than the "mic", allowing it to sense the vibrations from my electric guitar. Easily seen in both dim lighting and daylight. It has other settings for Violin, Bass and Chromatic tuning as well. Buttons a bit awkward, doesn't swivel quite enouch, clip could be better. For the price, this is an excellent value. Because it is small and compact, i can carry it in my violin case and take it with me wherever I go. You can change features to different instruments. I an glad I purchased this. It's a good, inexpensive tuner that swivels, has a digital "needle" to show you sharp/flat and can tune my mandolin as well as my guitar. For the price, it's an excellent tuner!
