This tuner is very solidly built. It is small and light and the change to green backlight when in tune is an amazing feature. However, I ended up sending back mine because it was extremely jumpy and inaccurate, often telling me incorrect notes and that (on the mandolin) two strings were in tune when they were clearly not. I’m sad to say I am very disappointed with how this tuner functioned. Hopefully I got a dud, but for now I will look elsewhere.

I bought the Intellitouch PT10 tuner for use with my cello, and am very disappointed. I read earlier reviews of many, many other electronic tuners which seemed to indicate that getting readings on the lower strings could be a problem. I made many comparisons of many other electronic tuners before buying. I decided to try this tuner since it was one of the latest models, thinking that chances of the problem with the lower strings would have been solved with the newer electronics. I was wrong.
I worked with this PT10 tuner every day, a few times a day, for several weeks. I found that I was able to tune my cello with it after working with each string for a few minutes. It does actually work. However, it does not work very well at all.
For a cello, this tuner is insufficient. On the C and D strings, it is not practically usable. The readings are just not reliable. If you are stuck with the PT10 tuner, you can clip it to the bridge and tune the A and D strings. Otherwise it is nearly useless with the other two strings.
It is very slow, even when you are getting readings that you think you can trust. Using this tuner can work on the higher strings, but be prepared to struggle with the erratic readings. It will take you a few minutes to get a reliable reading on one string, while other tuners that I have tried will give you an immediate reading.
You must also struggle to find the best part on your instrument with enough resonance for this tuner to work. Other tuners I can even clip to the tailpiece of the cello and I get immediate and accurate readings. Not with this tuner. It is extremely troublesome to use.
There is an intermittent rattle on the tuner. I assume it is one of the control buttons. The rattle is loud enough to hear on the other side of the room over the noise of fifteen string instruments and a grand piano playing. The rattle is rare, but will appear when you least expect it. Another minus with this little tuner.
The tuner must be clipped to the bridge to get good readings, the right leg of the bridge. The tuner mount is set up so that it is difficult to clip in any position, making it necessary to read it upside down in certain cases. The bright color (red or green) of the display does a little to circumvent that issue, but it is still a minus.
There are two plusses. The tuner is compact, and the display is very bright and colorfully backlit. The controls are intuitive and easy to fathom.
This tuner’s shortcomings would possibly never be noticeable for a ukulele player, or similar small instrument player. If you have an instrument with longer strings, even if it’s only a guitar, there will be a struggle getting readings on the lower strings. The response is pretty slow with this tuner in any case. It will work, and it is usable, but there are much better items out on the market.
Also, the lifetime warranty, while that is definitely a plus, means that you have to deal with the customer service department of the Intellitouch manufacturer in Texas. I found them to be a very confused bunch of people who are not very sure of themselves and do not seem to know exactly what they are doing. They do not seem to know what products they are selling. They are not straightforward people. Talking with them on the telephone was like talking to grade school children. I found I had to repeat the same things over and over and over simply to make myself heard, as if I were mumbling. This was a pattern I had to struggle with on repeated calls. Dealing with them is just as much a struggle as it is to deal with the products they produce. Every time I talked to them, it was exhausting.
My advice is not to try this product. There are better products out on the market. The Intellitouch PT10 is not a good product and the company is not an easy company to deal with. If you already have one, good luck with it.

I just bought this baby to tune my acoustic guitar and its AMAZING!!! it accurately tuned every string with ease. The red to green back light is bright and clearly tells you when your in tune. This is a must for any acoustic guitarist. Built in mics are inaccurate and are disrupted by ambient noise, and because this tuner goes off vibration you are receiving and accurate reading. Though it can be used with electric guitars I think plugging an electric guitar into your standard chromatic tuner is more accurate.
So if you own an acoustic guitar I highly recommend this product you wont be disappointed.

This tuner works great, is easy to use and should be standard for all guitarists.
I got this for my new Ibanez acoustic and couldn’t be happier. I was a little turned off by the price, but now realize it’s worth every penny.
While I know it’s just a “tuner,” the fact I could pull it out of the package use it instantly without trying to understand the screen, or change any settings, is exactly what I wanted. Again, this is the best tuner ever. Get it, and start jamming.
