(r)evolution Of Rock Guitar-fractal Audio Axe-fx Ultra Preamp/effects Guitar Hanger
(R)evolution of Rock Guitar – Fractal Audio Axe-Fx Ultra Preamp/Effects processor – Part II Played by Ketil Strand. This is a new version of my “Evolution of Rock Guitar” video series, which is also a demo of my new Fractal Audio Systems Axe-Fx Ultra Pre-amp/Effects processor. This time I used the Axe-Fx Ultra exclusively for all guitar sounds and effects and recorded it direct in Cubase, no extra “tricks” done in the mix or anything, it’s all coming from the Axe-Fx (except the backing tracks of course..) But I’m using many different guitars as shown and mentioned in the video. I’ve also mentioned some of the amp types and effects from the Axe-Fx that I’m using on the different tracks, if anybody should need more specific details, please contact me (the Axe-Fx has thousands of parameters to adjust..). @beatnikcafe Thanks! No, I’m afraid I havent’ done any of Beck’s “newer ” material. I have done “Cause we’ve ended as lovers” also, though, it’s on my video “Evolution of Rock Guitar (the Real guitar heroes) part II”

@rednebb After watching this all I can say is that not everything is the amp (effects unit) it depends mainly in the player thats why this sounds so good

@Ketil Strans Love the “led boots” tone you got going for the demo. I wonder if you have any demo’s with some of the more milky delay sounds Jeff Beck uses on some of his more recent work (by recent I mean last couple decades).

Wow how did you have the time to learn all of those songs? You can play them note for note exactly like they were on the orginal recordings, that’s amazing! Also you definitely sold the Axe fx on me, I am going to look into getting one soon.

After watching a few demos of Axe, I must say this one actually made me see what the hub bub with Axe was all about. Well done.

@rednebb Are you letting people just have your presets mate? Thats very generous!

@corbin1bleu1fan123 That’s way too much, but thank you very much for saying that.. Well, you really don’t need anything else, except maybe a mixer for better control. For this and other videos I’m just going straight from the Axe-Fx into a small mixer and into my computer. And you might need a separate audio interface of some kind to get good quality audio, of course, if your laptop isn’t capable of this.

ok first of all i have to say, you have to be the best youtube guitarist ever. i have a question. if i were to buy this, what else should i buy with it if i want to play it straight through my laptop. be as specific as possible. please and thankyou.

@fergusmccool Thanks for saying that, but I definitely don’t think I’m a complete player myself, I just love to play different things and try to get away with it..;-)
