Stevie Ray Vaughan – Texas Flood (long Version!) Guitar Amp
( www.youtube.com ) Long version of Texas Flood by stevie ray vaughn ! Texas Flood is an electric blues album by blues guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan and his band Double Trouble, released in 1983. Although “Texas Flood” has three verses of lyrics, the song is more of a prolonged guitar solo, allowing Vaughan to show off his characteristic electric blues style. During live shows, he would often play portions of this song behind his back, arousing an enthusiastic crowd response. Stylistically, “Texas Flood” is structured around the common three chord blues progression. Written and performed in the key of G (sounding F# because of Vaughan’s tuning), it is in 12/8 time, or compound time[1], which gives it a “slow burning” feel that is common in Texas blues. en.wikipedia.org

I have this live at el mocambo video and man Stevie fucking rocks this joint off its fucking block !! Although I am into hip hop and punk I would pay as much as I could to see Stevie !! Stevie was my introduction to music and I still love him to this day !! I guess only the good die young is true, I could only imaging what Stevie would be putting out to this day if he were alive.. RIP Stevie… Always loved !! The best guitarist (in my opinion) hands down !!

You need them both because they were at different times and places defining styles in their own personal way. If every artist was the same life would be a drag.

@5507156693 he certainly didn’t build his rep on blues, but nobody here is gonna tell me that Red House isn’t one of the greatest blues songs of all time
July 12th, 2010 at 12:23 pm
@5507156693 too bad we don’t have either anymore
July 12th, 2010 at 12:44 pm
@iliveforthem

July 12th, 2010 at 1:21 pm
@5507156693 Vaughan es Vaughan y Hendrix es Hendrix no te los confundas por que cada guitarrista es unico

July 12th, 2010 at 2:25 pm
@0live0wire0 Subtlety and nuance are missing, and the repetition of 5 or 6 pet phrases gets old fast. He reached a lot of people with great songs and lots of passion.
July 12th, 2010 at 2:56 pm
@iliveforthem Who voted this greatest live performance ever? The other kids on your little league team?
July 12th, 2010 at 3:30 pm
You should call this “Stevie Ray Vaughn-Bong version! )
July 12th, 2010 at 3:37 pm
@phil862007 i know what you mean. I truly respect SRV he’s a great player a fucking legend. He playes with lots of emotion but there’s something missing for me. Maybe it’s the tone, maybe there are too much notes or he’s too perfect technically i can’t tell. Still he’s great
July 12th, 2010 at 3:40 pm
@KnOwLeDgEsEeKeR78

@1257trebor Did you take your meds today? Or has someone hacked your account? I’ve seen where you will post that SVR is #1 on one video and on another video, slam someone for saying anything good about SRV. What gives? Are you bipolar?
And yes, This video IS considered by almost every great living guitarist as “The Greatest Live Guitar Performance Ever”. I though anyone that knows anything about guitar knew that. Hmmm What do you concider as the The Greatest Live Guitar Performance Ever?
July 12th, 2010 at 4:54 pm
@1257trebor not really, seeing as Hendrix died before SRV got famous… nice try tho
July 12th, 2010 at 5:40 pm
@GolddieSaliba Wow. Stevie invented that behind the back stuff, and he invented Penicillin, electricity and nuclear fission! or was that Jimi Hendrix?? I forget
July 12th, 2010 at 6:30 pm
Un-freaking-believable! Nice behind the back action! I can’t stop watching this video!
July 12th, 2010 at 6:36 pm
@phil862007
“without any personal touch” ALL of his music is done LIVE…..you obviously know nothing about Stevie……his guitar is his personal touch…….
July 12th, 2010 at 7:05 pm
@iliveforthem No it’s not. If you’re going to make stuff up, at least be funny.
July 12th, 2010 at 7:14 pm
Hes good but he plays without any personal touch its too technical bit of rawness wouldnt go astray, get a bit of rory gallagher on the stage and it would be unstopable.
July 12th, 2010 at 7:56 pm
FYI: This video is considered by almost every great living guitarist as “The Greatest Live Guitar Performance Ever”.

July 12th, 2010 at 8:15 pm
@Cebonite Which doesn’t mean he “defined” the blues
