Another version of Arthur Smith’s “Guitar Boogie”. This version by Tommy is one of my favourites. Great playing by the guitar master!

yeeessss… this is the best genre to listen to when it comes to guitar (well… IMO). So entertaining and rhythmic.

he’s not just a very good guitar player, he’s also – and I think this is very important – a extremly sympathic person; go on tommy

@blorps123 I see that you ain´t listen to metal or have never heard a good metal band. I can show you a couple of band if you want: Månegarm, Amon Amarth, Nightwish

@Mjodbryggaren sorry man, i’m going to harsh in my reply ^^… Who cares what it’s for if it still sounds like crap and you can’t make out the notes

@blorps123 The distortion is to make it sound heavy

i must have watched this video about a hundred times, but it’s only just occurred to me…
Tommy must get such bad chafing from all that leg tapping. It actually looks quite uncomfortable.

@ralphtheorangutan It’s not toooooooo hard as you say. It only takes (a lot of) time.
With years of training, the right amount of dedication, and love for the guitar, you WILL be able to play the way Tommy does. Maybe not exactly, but very close, enough to cover his tunes and arrangements.
What you’ll probably never learn is to create / arrange the way he does. That kind of art cannot be taught, and it’s beyond “playing fast”, if you know what I mean.

As a famous blues man once said ” the boy came to play”
