why did I have to be born in the 90’s? I had to miss the greatest era of music ever. Now i just have to put up with Ke$ha and other crap like that…

Rhodes couldn’t carry Eddie’s guitar pick. Can’t believe it is actually a debate…lmao.

  4. Adnoydall Says:

this is one completely themeless threadless meandering endlessly repetitive wankfest

@derrickm5150HT only reason ppl talk bout rhoads is cuz he died at a early age

Like I said before…Rhoads took guitar lessons, Ed did NOT! Ed is completly self taught. That’s why Rhoads was more flawless with his playing, because he was “taught” the correct way to play scales & stuff. But what makes Ed to special is that he came up with his own style of playing by himself without the help of a teacher. Ed is a Guitar God!!!

The reason Rhoads was solid was because he took guitar lessons….Ed just picked up the guitar, and taught himself completly. Thats what makes him to special! You can compair Randy & Ed all day, but when it comes down to it…Ed has the more natural talent that he was able to unleash by himself without the help of a teacher. Someone once asked Ed if he took formal guitar lessons, and he said “No…why do you think I do all this crazy stuff.”

el guitarrista que marco la forma de tocar este instrumento, uno de los genios de la historia musical

First, I want to end the debate of who is better. From Randy Rhoads own mouth….

“Eddie Van Halen is great —- I don’t want to get near competing with people like him.” — Randy Rhoads from the book Van Halen 101 by Abel Sanchez, Page 234

    oh..

    The best!!!!!!!

Just because Eddie popularized tapping, doesn’t mean Rhoads wouldn’t have done it eventually. In any case, I feel Eddie is good at tapping, but lacks in other areas, whereas Rhoads was a solid all around guitarist, and could really compose. He would slave for weeks, and weeks, just to get his pieces right. I like Eddie, but he doesn’t compare to Rhoads. I just wish Rhoads played a little better for his own band, rather than exclusively putting his best work into Ozzy.

@underwearskids They didnt fell asleep. This shit is just pure music, the only thing you can do, is listen, dont trash, dont sing, dont try to whistle the rifts he does, shut up and listen.

  13. thegitt123 Says:

that sould not be possible but with eddie anythiing is possible

  14. johnadorian Says:

@underwearskids You can say that. But without Eddie, rhoads’ solos wouldn’t have happened. Guitarists everywhere owe their soloing knowledge and ability to Eddie. Solos that Rhoads played like Crazy Train and Mr. Crowley wouldn’t have happened without Eddie popularizing tapping

  15. johnadorian Says:

One of the best solos he’s ever played!!!!

  16. underwearskids Says:

I’ll admit, this is a pretty entrancing video, but I still think Randy Rhoads is better. This is Eddie about a decade into his career, and he’s still fumbling, while Rhoads could really nail his solos flawlessly long before a prime he was never to have reaped.

  17. underwearskids Says:

@ConrailJon Nah man, the audience fell asleep at the 4 minute mark. XD

  18. MrLoikaa Says:

    @underwearskids no you´re wrong.

  19. thrasher025 Says:

@underwearskids well ed has something randy doesn’t… talent

  20. dtravis7 Says:

    Mean Street intro.

  21. id10t02 Says:

Well. he is from the Netherlands….

  22. underwearskids Says:

Randy Rhoads is still better; he is everything that Eddie lacks in technique, elegance, perfection, and originality.

  23. Hoota5150 Says:

THE KING and Forever The Innovator of the Modern Guitar.
    Always copied but never Replicated.
Good luck to all generations to have been blessed with this as who can change the face of Music and Guitar as Eddie has without computers?
it has been 32 years not happening in my lifetime?

  24. Bleeder26 Says:

Ummm and recording new material, and rehearsing for a new tour, and releasing new line of clothing. Yeah. Where did he go wrong? lol He’s better than ever.
