This version of the zoom has a ton of features, and it is really rugged. I was wary of the G1 since it is plastic, but the G2 is solidly built with a decent metal body. The effects sound good, and the built-in tuner is great. The best part about the G2 is the price. I can’t believe all the features for what this thing costs.

I have tried, bought and sold many different effects pedals and the G2 Zoom is the best I have found.
Great variations of sounds from clean acoustic to weird.
The drum machine is the best, different rhythms, volume, tone, can be easily adjusted.
The box is made of metal and is solid.
Get the G2 with the four knobs it is a lot easier to set up than the other Zoom models, read the instructions and go jam.

Recently purhcased this item, and am still getting through the different settings on it. There are so many effects, and different sounds that you can get out of this machine. The drum machine built in is great for practicing with. I would recommend this to anyone novice, or professional guitarist looking to add effects. Its inexpensive, and has a multitude of effects.
